Big Cabin Christian Church was founded in 1911 as the First Christian Church of Big Cabin. We are an Independent Christian Church. As an Independent Christian Church we derive our planning and teaching from our Elder and Deacon board, by which we are governed, rather than from a larger church or denominational organization. The lessons are created and delivered by the volunteer teachers that know the hearts and needs of their students. This allows a more personal approach to the students' spiritual growth and needs.
We believe that God created man in His image.
We believe that Man, through sinful desires, was flawed.
We believe that the Trinity exists as one being in three parts, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. Each can operate individually, but are interconnected as one being.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Only path to Heaven. By accepting the free gift that only He can offer.
We believe that Jesus Christ was blameless and sinless. That He suffered and died on a cross and that He conquered death by bringing Himself back to life.
We believe that He Ascended into heaven to prepare a place for us.
We believe that, if you are physically able, you should be Baptised as an outward expression of your faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Savior.
We believe that you should make a public confession of your faith and acceptance of Jesus Christ as your Savior, because He told us to do so.
We beleive that when you gather together you should offer communion with one another, because Jesus told us to do so.
We believe that the Gospel of Christ should be shared through love and not condemnation, however true love points out a sinful lifestyle when it is done in a loving manner.
